Diabetic Retinopathy is an eye condition caused by diabetes. High blood sugar levels damage the tiny blood vessels in the retina.
In the early stages, there may be no symptoms. However, without treatment, it can lead to severe vision loss or blindness. Diabetic Retinopathy develops slowly over time.
If you are diabetic, visit your eye doctor at least once every year.
